PostSubject: Session 4: Defeating the Drake   Sat Jun 12, 2010 1:15 am

Having so much going on all at once was very confusing, this isn't something that we're used to as sailors. Most of the crew ended up being trapped in the cabin thanks to the nails, however the passengers seemed to be able to hold their own. The Captain showed great skill with his swords, while the monk made her way back onto the deck and into the frey. Meanwhile, it seemed that the sorceress had done her part and retired to her quarters. All this time there were bolts raining down from the other ship, marking the planks as they bounced off. The few members of the Drake that attempted to reboard the Queen found themselves dead within seconds as the Captain took them down. I did my best to help, though it seemed that I was no match with their skills in battle.

Soon enough the Sable Drake began to sink, so me and the Captain cut the hooks holding us to them so that she could rest on the bottom of the ocean alone (perhaps now those cursed crewmen will get their rests). Once everything was over and the excitement had dimmed, we cleared the deck of the blood, bodies, and crossbow bolts and all went to enjoy a well-earned rest. That is until the storm began...

The Captain woke the crew up when he realized that the Queen had entered turbulent seas. Green water was washing into the now uncovered stairway. I collected Alex and another crewman to help make a quick repair before we took on too much water. The rest grabbed buckets from below and began attempting to empty out the water that had already made it's way in. Most of us managed to make it to safety, however the monk-lady, while attempting to make it below deck, was struck by a rather powerful surge and knocked against the rails. The next one that came loosened her grip and cast her into the waters. The Captain tossed me a rope as he tied the other end around himself, diving into the water after her.

A tug of the rope was the signal I needed to start pulling. They made it back onto the ship just in time for another wave to come crashing over. I found myself unprepared for this as it sent me flipping over the rail. Captain acted quickly and threw the rope to me, pulling me back up. By the time I made it back up they had finished with the repairs. Me and the monk went down below while Captain went to make sure that we were still on course. This is just what I feared from these uncharted waters...
