The Sable Drake Empty
PostSubject: The Sable Drake   The Sable Drake EmptySun May 30, 2010 10:10 am

Originally a trade vessel based out of Kildaeren, the Crimson Drake sailed from coast to cost with amazing speed. Though it wasn't the largest of ships, if ever there was a sensitivity to the timing of a delivery you knew that Captain Willchester would get the job done. Bathed in red with brilliantly bright sails that seemed to blend with the horizon, this ship stood out the moment it came within view simply so that the docks could clear way before they reached the port.

The Drake ran for nearly 10 years with barely an issue; because of it's speed and agility it could outrun pirate on the open seas. However, during a rather short trip from Amberock to Keldaeren, a terrible storm swept the coast and made the Pillars impassable. Most figured that they would either hold up in Tribolo until the storm passed or, at worst, they would sail to Rudstow and make port there until they were able to make it back to their destination. Unfortunately the Drake never arrived in Keldaeren and the crew was never seen again.

Months later though, a new band of pirates began appearing off of the west coast between the Pillars and the mouth if the Great River. Only attacking on the darkest of nights, this ship, colored pitch-black from sail to keel, move with an alarmingly familiar speed. It's crew moves in, incapacitates the victims, and steals whatever valuables are on board while kidnapping any passengers of importance or wealth.

People say that this new and mysterious ship, now dubbed the Sable Drake, is the damned crew of the vessel of a similar name, dead by the hands of Yaethan, upset that they were always able to escape calamity. Now they are made to sail forever, dealing chaos and destruction to any ship that dares sail the Western Run, the path that made the original Drake so famous.
